Morning, leave for half day sightseeing tour of Muscat city. Muscat is a living example of how elements of modern world could be efficiently blended with the centuries old traditions, heritage and sentiments of the local people.
The tour starts with a visit to the Grand Mosque
Then proceed to Al Bustan Palace Hotel a palace hotel exclusively built for an annual Conference of the Heads of the Gulf countries and to show off the wealth of the Sultanate to the Arab World.
Then we stop at the spectacular Al Alam Palace for photographs only and continue for a scenic drive along the beautiful corniche road to the traditional Souq (local market) in Old Muttrah an excellent place to observe the local culture and life- style in originality.
Return to the hotel for Lunch. Take an optional Harbor cruise in the evening.
Morning, depart by 4WD to Sur, via Quriyat, Wadi Shab, Wadi Tiwi and Qalhat. Pass through Quriyat a very large Fishing village between the lagoon and the sea. Tiny port of Quriyat is still guarded by a watchtower dating back to 1635.Continue on the bumpy track sometimes touching the sea, and sometimes along the stretches of white beaches. Arrive at Fins beach, stop for a short swim and further continue to Wadi Shab in Arabic literally means a ravine between cliffs.
Shallow green pools and abundant shade give Wadi Shab a perfect setting for a stop for picnic lunch. Proceed to Sur.
At evening, reach Sur and check-in at the beach hotel.
Morning free at the beach. Afternoon, we take an excursion trip to the Ras Al Hadd where turtle nesting is a major attraction. The wonderful creatures haul their bulk up on to the sands to lay more than 200 eggs between sunset and dawn. Spend the night in your Tent after enjoying the BBQ dinner.
Depart early morning for the Wadi Bani Khalid Surrounded by date palm trees and tropical fruit plantations, here is an idyllic setting for a dip in the crystal clear water pools. We lunch here before proceeding to the magical Wahiba Sands. The local tribe 'Bedu" greets us along the way. After watching a spectacular sunset, an Arabic BBQ dinner will be served. Overnight in tents under the stars.
Morning after breakfast, depart for an exciting 4WD a cross the challenging Sand dunes- one of the wonders of natural! Crossing Ibra town to reach Nizwa.
Arrive at Nizwa and check in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Nizwa is one of the most historically important cities in Oman .
Morning visit the Nizwa Fort and the traditional Souq. The Souq or the local market has on offer interesting silver jewelry, antiques and pottery items.
Afternoon, visit the Bahla and Jabrin Forts the two majestic forts that reflect the courage and bravery of the Omanis. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Morning, leave for a half-day tour of Ain ArRazat Garden , Mirbat and Taqa old cities of the 9th and 10th centuries. Continue to the Sumhurum Bay a natural port used for frankincense exports in years gone by. Also visit the ruins of a city which stood in the time of the Queen of Shebba.
Depart for half-day visit to the tomb of the Prophet Job, before driving on to the Mughsail beach. We stop en route at the site of the famous frankincense trees still harvested for their resin, and extensively used in the world for its scent. Afternoon is free at the beach.
